Find Your Cruise
The information that I was given was that the practice of handwash and or antiseptic wipes being at various points leading to the eating areas had been found to be ineffective in keeping sickness away and it was far better to emphasis good general hygiene. This seems to be born out by the latest suggestion that the noro-virus seems to be spread from the nasal and oral cavities. It would appear that no increase in sickness has been found and the changed policy has been in effect for some several months now. I hope they are right ...Neil.
Thanks Neil. I thought this maybe the case but the fact is there was little or no mention or signage to emphasise the possibilities. It was like stepping back ten or fifteen years. Still, look at the savings on handwash from an accountants point of view!!!
Hi Wilba. It would appear from David's comment that it is not so throughout the fleet and I can only report on what I was told and what was the case on several of the RCI ships. They do have some really hard hitting bean-counters on RCI's books so your comment may be more true than you realise.
I'm afraid I have to go cruising again soon but (deep manly voice)"I'll be back" ... regards Neil.
Not consistent across the fleet then as there is hand sanitiser at all eateries on Indpendence currently.
