People going from a cruise to an Egyptian sight or place do not, generally have any injections or the like. We recently went to Alexandria for a day, drank local bottled water and ate in a local restaurant which was extremely busy, not another westerner in there and ate all sorts of local food without any ill-effect at all. It was delicious. Egypt is not the cleanest country you will visit but do not be paranoid about being there because it takes the edge off all it can offer. ..... Neil.

Me too! We were in Alexandria & did the Pyramids in Giza & never were aware of anyone having injections. We went in a 'local' restaurant in Giza & ate with the locals to no ill effects, that was 5 of us including a 10 year old. I'm with Neil, there seems little point in visiting these places without a sense of adventure.
