The dining times on RCI are not set in stone. The guide times are 6.15 and 8.30, but I have known the early dining to be as early as 5.30 and the late dining to be as late as 10.pm. Yes, it is perfectly true that the dining times in Europe tend to be later, to suit the European audience. If you want to change to the earlier time then get your travel agent to change it, if it is not available then go to the maitre d' when on board and ask him.

We were with RCI last August, with late dining,we wanted to change our table, so saw the Maitre d' soon after boarding. It seemed they had two other sittings available,(not advertised)we opted for 8pm ,i think the other one was 7pm. Its worth asking.
