I'm sure they will be fine particularly if they go off and do their own thing. There are special arrangements and gatherings for single people on board and the camaraderie they will find will amuse them more than somewhat. With regard to Silverjet, I have often thought of using it so we would be very interested to hear a report........I'm sure you'll all enjoy yourselves ....Ida Dow.
May I first comment on your description "old fogies" which I presume you are referring to anyone on the cruise that is over the age of 60. My wife and I find that people of all ages can have a good holiday together on board a ship. On our last cruise we made good friends with a couple much younger than our selves and had a brilliant time. It all depends on what you are looking for on a cruise holiday.
We have been cruising for 15 years and our aim on every cruise is to have a good time. I would suggest that your sons aim should be the same and not depend on just meeting girls to have a good cruising holiday
By the way we have sons over 40 and do not consider our selves as old fogies. We often go to the disco until 2-3 in the morning. Let yourselves go the Halstead family and enjoy the cruise .
Well my husband and myself will be travelling on board the QM2 next may and would like to let you know that all ages will be on the ship (this will be our 4th cruise, on various ships, and we are only 27 !!), your sons should have a great time .
