Cunard "employ" them but I believe you have to pay $25 per day for the privilige. OK if you want a cheap cruise and enjoy dancing.

Yes it is possible but there is a sting in the tail. Most cruise ships operate this employment through a number of agencies. They will arrange a contract for a set period. Guess what though? These agencies charge a recruiting fee, as do the cruise ships, to cover your board and food. Fine if you feel you are going to enjoy the whole experience as an alternative to paying for a cruise, but it is certainly not 'employment'.
