Both very nice ships, I'm going again on the Navigator in two weeks time. The Navigator is BIG and lots going on, very busy. The Enerald Princess is smaller but a very nice ship with first class service and more attention to detail. Book on both lol.
Emerald Princess if you want peace, quality, good food, big variety of restaurants, space, good shows, etc.
Navigator if you want a rock climbing wall and towel animals.
Princess are a far better line than Royal Caribbean (at least based on the cruises I have taken with both), Emerald is a brand new ship while Navigator is out of date, but if you want Pontins with a propellor, go for Navigator. If you want quality... Princess wins hands down.
Emerald without a doubt. Navigator too tacky .
We have been on the Navigator of the Seas three times and habe booked another cruise on the ship in six weeks time.We have not been on a Princess Ship, but find the Navigator a lovely ship for all ages. I cannot understand a comment made by another person of Pontins- it is not like that at all. The ship covers for all ages and we are in our fifties. Also the ship is not old, its only about three or four years old.
Definatly Navigator without a doubt! I won't sail with anyone but Royal Caribbean but my parents decided to try out Princess Cruises. Rang home on the first day - OK - Rang home on the second day - NOT AS GOOD AS ROYAL CARIBBEAN CAN'T WAIT TO GET OFF! As seasoned Royal Caribbean sailers both my husband and parents would NEVER go with another cruise company. They cater for everyone! E-mail me direct with any questions. Everyone I have ever recommended to Royal Caribbean has been back time and time again.
Navigator of the seas is too american, like disney land or Butlins on sea. If you want class go for Princess. if you like lots of drink, children round your feet, queueing up for everything and lots of razzamatazz, go for Navigato.
There is nothing wrong with butlins... its a family place. And it most certainly isn't american... no where near?!?!?!?!?!
Cannot be fairly compared. Navigator superb ship, great facilities and very cleverly caters for all age groups, likes and dislikes. Enormous ship, but never ever felt crowded - even in August. Ideal for families. We are
great fans of Royal Caribbean and always look for their itineries first.
