Can I suggest you type in the word "dress" in the "Search" box and you will have more than sufficient answers for many companies and ships...regards...Id.

What cruise line and what ship? What do you define as dressing up??? Personally I welcome the opportunity to don the glad rags as we get so little chance these days with the increasingly sloppy casual dress code adopted by many......

Presumably you mean formal nights, every other time it is smart casual. NCL, no. Celebrity, yes. Princess, yes. RCI, yes-ish! All of these ships have many US citizens, who don't like getting dressed up, but who do make an effort on celebrity & Princess.

This would depend on what cruise line you go with. We normally try and go formal as we rarely have this opportunity as Aldrich says scoiety tody has forget how to dress, e.g. jeans for the theatre.... We also like to be waited on and pampered, after all this is what we cruise for. However we also did Island Star and it was super, apart from feeling overly dressed sometimes. Happy sailing.
