If you stay at 3* hotels it will be like that. If you usually stay at 4* or 5* hotels I suspect you will not like it.
I think youll be fine its probably what a 4* on land would be but it depends how picky you are, i really think youll enjo it.
We are going to the caribean on 30 oct from palma, this is the third year we have sailed there at this time of year and the weather has always been lovely the further you go out the better the weather have a good hol we wil.
If you like Butlins, you will enjoy yoursel.
Weather will get progressively more like UK weather the further into mid atlantic you get. I guess you're doing the repositioning journey for the winter season of OV2 in which case it should get progressively better after about 3 days. Oct/Nov is tropical storm season in the carribbean area remember - usually not bad enough to make the headlines though. Have beenon OV once. Enjoyed it - but wouldn't do it again. Dont expect gastonomic delights - food is what you would find in a package hotel in Spain. Cabins clean and spacious though. Didn't like the total informality ALL the time.
OV Cruises are fine if you have not been with P&O, Cunard or Royal Caribean, if you have you will never settle for OV again.
OV cruises tend to be very casual no dressing up at all. For me I prefer to change out of my T shirt and shorts for the evening but most people on OV stay in the same stuff all the time, well I guess it saves on your baggage allowance.
OV2, is 3* or at best 3*+.When cruising one has to look at the cost & style of the packages and measure ones expectations of standards accordingly. After all, there are not too many bad cruises around, some are just better than others. As for the weather, one takes your chance, but expect a cooling breeze at times. But with the right frame of mind, I'm sure that you will have a ball - go forth & enjoy!
Thank you for all your replies am really grateful.I am sure we will have a good time.If our paths cross thomas-fisher, darwen the drinks are on you.
