I have just been on Fred Olson's 'Balmoral'. They had 2 Male and 1 Female dance hosts of which all gave tuition. Both bands did play ballroom dancing from time to time.

BLYTH - Answered a Question by Emmett (29 Jul 08 16:17)

Sadly the only other ship that had the style of ballroom seen on the QM and QV was the Blue Lady, formerly the SS Norway and before that SS France which I think held the blue riband for the fastest crossing of the Atlantic and it was I beleive the longest ever liner designed to ride 3 waves when crossing the Atlantic. It was taken over by NCL having been berthed in LeHarve for many a year and on 2001 we crossed the Atlantic in it still with its category of a steamship it was to go to a German yard to be refitted but I believe it is now being taken to bits in a yard somewhere India/Pakistan, there are photographs but copyright prevents the link being displayed here, sad !!
