Okill - Answered a Question by constable (11 May 08 13:06)

Hi Neil Down - I am Mrs Okill of Lee on the Solent. I couldn't miss the opportunity to tell you that my husband takes far more luggage that me, including DJs in 4 different colours!

Cheaper to purchase beforehand and you have the added bonus of using again when you realise how good you feel and book more cruises. Dress for success.

Yes, Matalan is the answer to all your worries. A complete dinner suit for £50 and it can be worn time and time again. I purchased my husbands last November for our 2nd trip on the QM2. He wore it to a charity ball 2 weeks ago and it will be packed in his case for our trip on the QV this May. "Now, how's that for value for money" and that comment was from my brother-in-law who purchased his from Matalan for a trip last July on the Orient Express to Venice.

Neil and Ida Down - Answered a Question by constable (07 May 08 16:47)

If cost isn't a factor then hire away but if you feel that this is unlikely to be your only cruise then buy one and use up some of that luggage allowance on yourself, let's face it the other halves never have any qualms about how much they take! (Ida takes more than the Queen and Mrs Bucket put together)....Nei.

Hi. M&S have dinner suits from £50 to £200. I purchase a £50 one for my QE2 this year and i looked every bit the part. Plus then you own it and can re-use it again and again. More economical than hiring.
