most of the larger cruise lines these days have dedicated wheelchair cabins. These cabins, with balconies are a lot bigger including enhanced bathroom size. I would check when booking as to disabled cabin availability as they tend to go very quickly. I regret that I cannot answer your vehicle question other than I have never seen any adapted vehicles provided by the cruise lines I have been on, some provide ramps so wheelchair users can get on to the shuttle or excursion buses but apart from this the only thing I can suggest is to check with your chosen line. I have seen P&O using dedicated wheelchair coaches at some ports. These are the type with a hydraulic platform for raising and lowering wheechairs into and out of the coaches, with facilites for locking wheelchairs into position on the coach. The availability of these vehicles depends on whats available at the port but they seem to be more of them at ports within the EU. I believe this transport gets booked up early and space is limited.
Just come back from the med cruised with P&O "Arcadia" disabled cabin E51 fantastic size, ramp for balcony if needed for wheelchair or mobility scooter, and wet room with shower, cabins have larger doors to accommodate, re tours for disabled there are wheelchair adapted buses for most of the tours, unfortunately we were unable to do any of the tours in adapted buses as my husband has a portable mobiltiy scooter and the small print states mobilty scooters not accessible as they are unable to be locked in unlike wheelchairs, also when looking at the prices for tours found them very expensive and infact adapted discrimainated costs against ablebodied i.e. loro park tenerife ablebodoied person £32 pp, wheelchair adapted bus £65pp and half an hour less!!(put this in survey comments, wonder if we shall get a reply)so we just got off at ports and went round town where poss, some of the streets very steep and pavements to high for scooter to get up and down, however after all these grumbles the staff were excellant and were always on hand to assist my husband on and off the ship, in the main restaurant he was able to take his scooter to our dining table and then one of the staff would park it up and return it to my husband when we had finish, the belvedere was an issue so only ate there once, arcadian rhodes restaurant was excellant, the theatre has access for wheelchairs/scooters and there are seats reserved for disabled companions
